In a world without melodious refrain
Where notes no longer dance upon the air
How dull..? How dreary would my days remain…?
Without the solace of a song so fair.

No symphony to stir my weary soul
No rhythmic beats to set my spirit free
No sweet sonatas that could make me whole
Without a music’s touch what would life be?

The morning light would lose its vibrant hue
The birds would cease their joyful, tuneful call
No lullabies to ease the darkest blue
No love songs in the moonlit hours would fall.

The sapphire sky would lose its vibrant song
As silence spreads its melancholic shroud
The heart in silence would forever long…
For music’s beauty now forever vowed.

No comforting melodies to heal my strife
No healing harmonies to lift my past
A world without music’s a barren life
A silent existence, Oh! How it would last..!!

For music is the essence of my breath
The poetry that paints my days with hue
Without it life would hold no sweet caress
No symphony of joys that once I knew.
