What place in the world do you never want to visit? Why?

Ilha da Queimada Grande or “Snake Island” off the coast of Brazil.

The island is teeming with some of the deadliest vipers on Earth, the golden lancehead. They’re so venomous, and the island so isolated, that it’s basically off-limits to tourists.

Sure, the untouched beauty might be tempting for a quick nature documentary shoot, but the risk of getting accidentally introduced to one of those vipers is a hard pass for me.

There are plenty of other stunning islands out there that don’t come with the built-in threat of instant venom delivery.  I’ll stick to exploring those virtually for now, thank you very much!
