Describe a positive thing a family member has done for you.

We all have those moments in life where a helping hand feels like a lifeline. For me, that hand belonged to my grandma, a tiny woman with a heart as big as the sky.
Growing up, I was a bookworm, nose always buried in fantastical worlds. But my passion for writing remained a secret dream, tucked away in a dusty corner of my mind.
One rainy afternoon, while rummaging through the attic, I stumbled upon a hidden box filled with childhood scribbles – poems, short stories, the remnants of a budding writer.
Embarrassed, I shoved the box back, ready to retreat. But then, a gentle voice startled me. It was Grandma, her kind eyes twinkling. She’d seen everything. Instead of scolding me for the mess, she sat down, picked up a dusty manuscript and started reading.
As she read, a smile bloomed across her face. “These are wonderful, sweetheart,” she said, her voice filled with genuine warmth. “You have such a gift for storytelling.” Her words, simple as they were, shattered the invisible wall of doubt I’d built around my dreams.
That day, Grandma didn’t just discover my hidden passion; she nurtured it. She became my first audience, my biggest cheerleader. She bought me my first real notebook, a beautiful leather-bound journal that felt like a writer’s holy grail. She even enrolled me in a local writing workshop, pushing me to share my work with the world.
There were moments of self-doubt, of course, but Grandma was always there, a pillar of unwavering support. She taught me the power of believing in myself, even when the world seemed to disagree.
I owe a debt of gratitude to my grandma, the woman who saw the magic in my messy attic scribbles and dared me to share it with the world.
I miss her….
