Daily prompts –

Who was your most influential teacher? Why?

History class? More like snooze-ville for young me.  Don’t get me wrong, the tales of emperors and battles were interesting enough… in theory. But the way most teachers droned on? Forget about it!  Then came Gupta Sir.  This wasn’t your average history teacher – this guy was Indiana Jones meets a motivational speaker.

Here’s why Gupta Sir was a game-changer:

History Alive!: Gone were the dusty textbooks and monotone lectures. Gupta Sir transformed the classroom into a time machine with battles roaring and empires rising.  Suddenly, history wasn’t a snoozefest it was an adventure!

Champion of Potential:  Despite catching me napping in the back more times than I care to admit, Gupta Sir never gave up on me.  He saw a spark, a potential for deeper understanding buried beneath my eyelids.  His constant encouragement, a firm but kind “You can do better,” chipped away at my lethargy.

Beyond the Textbook:  History wasn’t just names and dates with Gupta Sir.  He weaved stories of everyday people, their struggles and triumphs, making history relatable and relevant.  Suddenly, the past wasn’t some distant land, it was a window into the human experience.

Gupta Sir didn’t just teach history, he ignited a curiosity that continues to this day.  He showed me that learning can be an adventure, not a chore and that even a sleepyhead like me could be captivated by the echoes of the past.  Thanks, Gupta Sir, for waking me up to the wonders of history!
