Absence…

Stealing light from celestial orbs afar..
Or snatching melodies that winds confer..
Still fails to bridge the chasm that remains
In your absence my soul writhes in disdain.

Pilfering hues from scenic landscapes
And blessings from sacred shrines of devout prayer..
Yet inept they prove to fill the aching void

This world now estranged…
A morning reverie yet undoubtedly sincere,
I’ll linger… amid fears of lurking plight
May fortune shield you from distress’s blight.

Pensive in life’s vast journey,
bereft of bliss,
A moment…
consigned to time’s relentless twist,
Devoid of you..my kaleidoscopic sphere,
Drained of vibrancy, bereft of cheer.

Stealing wisdom’s precepts from learned tomes
Or finance’s laurels from meticulous domes
Defiant still, they cannot bridge the chasm wide,
That gapes, bereaved, without you by my side.

To pilfer radiance from starlit skies above
Or pluck melodies that zephyrs so fondly rove
But futile are these ventures.. bereft of grace
When absence looms.. a void no force can erase.

This world now estranged,
A morning reverie…yet undoubtedly sincere
I’ll linger… amid fears of lurking plight
May fortune shield you from distress’s blight.
