If you had to give up one word that you use regularly, what would it be?

If I were to bid farewell to a frequently utilized word, “just” would be my chosen sacrifice. This seemingly harmless word often sneaks its way into my conversation without achieving any substantial purpose. It subtly dilutes my intentions and weakens the impact of my statements.

For instance; consider the sentence “I’m just checking in to see how you’re doing.” By eliminating “just,” the sentence becomes more direct and meaningful: “I’m checking in to see how you’re doing.” Removing “just” empowers my words & enhances their significance, ensuring clarity and effective communication.
