“My journey towards Mental Health recovery”

Mental health struggles can feel overwhelming and can be tough to navigate. I’m sharing my personal journey of managing anxiety and depression in real-time because I believe that it’s essential to talk about mental health experiences. So, let’s jump right in.

My journey started when I was in my early-twenties. I was struggling to cope with stress at work and had recently moved to a new city. Throughout the day, I tried to make time for things that made me happy – like reading, taking walks, and listening to music. I found that keeping a gratitude journal helped me focus on the positive in my life, which stopped me from dwelling on negatives or repeating destructive thought patterns.

It’s essential to remember that everyone’s journey is unique, but recovery and management are possible. If you’re struggling with mental health, don’t suffer in silence. Speaking to someone you trust, seeking therapy, medication, and making lifestyle changes towards healthier habits are all steps in the right direction.
